About Dr. Rose
Alexander B. Rose, MD, MPHS is a forensic psychiatrist providing both clinical care and medical-legal services. Dr. Rose graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology-Neuroscience & a Minor in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. He then completed his Medical Degree (MD) and a Master of Population Health Sciences (MPHS) from Washington University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in psychiatry from Washington University School of Medicine followed by a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry from Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.
In addition to his work with Veritas Forensic Psychiatry, he practices inpatient psychiatry at Touchette Regional Hospital where he also serves as the director of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). As the first director of ECT at Touchette, he had the privilege of designing the program de novo including all procedures, protocols, and credentialing (which included staff training).
Dr. Rose also remains involved in academia and clinical education where he teaches psychiatric residents and medical students at Washington University School of Medicine. He maintains a faculty appointment as an Instructor in Clinical Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry.

- DEA-X Buprenorphine (Suboxone) Waivered Prescriber
- Concurrently the Director of ECT and an inpatient psychiatrist at Touchette Regional Hospital
- Instructor in Clinical Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine
- Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry – Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago
- Residency in Psychiatry – Washington University School of Medicine
- Dual MD and MPHS – Washington University School of Medicine
- Bachelor’s in Biology-Neuroscience & Minor in Psychology – Washington University in St. Louis
